🚨International Day of Action! 🚨
The international struggle against Israel’s genocide of the Palestinian people and against the states which facilitate that genocide continues to grow. The Zionist entity’s mass killings do not stop with the people of Palestine, it now carpet bombs Lebanon and continues to commit despicable crimes. Across the globe, students fight for an end to the complicity of universities in the genocide, and whilst some universities have announced partial divestment measures, many have spent the summer building carceral systems to control and oppress the resistance more effectively.
The genocidal imperialist forces seek to normalize the ongoing state of affairs and transform the vast suffering and violence they cause into a hidden background noise. The truth is they can only continue their genocide and wars because there are those who build their bombs, who ship them, who make their materials, who make food for their armies. Universities only work because we go to class, teach, write papers, grade exams.
We call on all students, lecturers, professors, and members of university staff to refuse to attend your classes or go to work, stop teaching, and bring these institutions to a grinding halt on November 21st! Instead, plan solidarity actions, agitate and raise awareness within your communities, unite with other students, workers, and unions against war criminals and complicit institutions. Build bonds between universities and community, prepare and spread support for wider and more numerous disruptions. Create relationships and institutions of resistance.
