AFSCME Local 1674 Resolution for Arms Embargo v. Israel (Green 4 Falasteen)

Kenley, a steward at Local 1674, Council 93, is another AFSCME member who sees the connections between the essential work they do for their community and the necessity of standing up for Gaza. Their coworkers are in agreement. Kenley says:

“Local 1674 has voted unanimously in favor of the resolution ‘AFSCME International Stands Against the Ongoing Genocide of the Palestinian
People.’ As mental health workers, we have been appalled by the complete devastation of the health system in Gaza — a tactic of genocide carried out using our dues and tax money.

We implore AFSCME to join with the seven other major unions who have demanded an arms embargo on the Israeli war machine, in line with our historic values of solidarity and justice for the international working class.”
