Workers from both @seiu1021 & @cirseiu came together at Highland Hospital to commemorate a year of genocide, and renew their commitment to solidarity with healthcare workers in Palestine.
As @nurseboogz sang, it is unacceptable that any of our union dues or pensions should support genocide. Thanks to the steadfastness of rank & file workers like these @seiu1021 has passed a divestment resolution & will no longer allow investments in companies that profit from the war machine, fossil fuels & private prisons.
In @purpleup4palestine we join forces with @seiu_org members from other locals to affect change across our larger union.
