Labor for Palestine National Network Resolution to Support February 6, 2026 Call by Italian USB Union for Global Strike Against Genocide, Militarism, and Attacks On the Working Class

Whereas, the Italian USB union, along with unions from Turkey, Morocco, Euskadi and Greece,are planning for another general strike on February 6, 2026 involving dockworkers from at least 21 ports across the Mediterranean to protest against the genocide in Gaza, imperialist war, militarism, and the attacks on the working class, and;
Whereas, they are appealing to workers around the world, including US workers and dock workers, to join their actions and;
Whereas, the US-supported genocide in Israel, the attack and war on Venezuela, and the US trillion dollar military budget is paid for by attacks on healthcare, education, housing, and all public services and;
Whereas, the US working class and people also need to take action globally with workers and people around the world against genocide, militarism, and attacks on workers in the US and globally,
Therefore, be it resolved, that the Labor For Palestine National Network endorses the Stop the War on Venezuela National Network call for a day of action to Shut Down the Imperialist War Machine in solidarity with the USB-led general strike and urges its member groups to organize or join labor actions on 2/6/26.
