Activists in Maine Block Entry to General Dynamics With Bloodied Shrouds (Maine Labor for Palestine et al.)

Instagram post here.

Early in the morning on October 28th, Anti-genocide protesters blocked the driveway to General Dynamics in Saco, Maine with artistic representations of shrouded bodies and fake blood at the entrance to the bomb factory.

At 7am a rally formed where speeches were given by a Palestinian Mainer, a mental health professional with @healthcareworkersforpalestine and the daughter of Holocaust survivors.

After the speeches activists carried banners into the street that said “bomb makers” with an arrow pointing to the factory and “teachers and students” with an arrow pointing to the school across the street.

A group of protesters donned blindfolds, tied their hands and lined the sidewalk with a sign reading “11,400 detained and tortured” referring to the Palestinians being abducted and brought to torture facilities.

The mainstream news focused on the children driving by on their way to school, but refuse to acknowledge that this bomb factory is using those very students as human shields for cover while they build bombs that vaporize children in Gaza.

An independent journalist interviewed the protesters about why they were there.
