It is urgent that union members stand in support of fellow workers in Gaza, who are currently under attack by the Israeli military. More than 29,000 Palestinians have been killed in these attacks, the majority of them women and children. Many more Palestinian lives are endangered by Israel’s military blockade, which has cut off food, water, and medicine from Gaza. The United Nations’ official court, the International Court of Justice, has ruled that Israel’s actions are a plausible case of genocide. Yet, the U.S. government continues to support Israel with hundreds of billions of dollars in military aid.
As union members, we can bring our central labor council into the growing movement to end this killing, and to end the occupation of Palestine. LA Labor for Palestine is a group of union members from all different sectors of the LA labor movement. Please sign on to our letter calling on the LA Fed to pass a ceasefire resolution.
