On January 21, 2024, UAW Local 551 adopted a powerful resolution in support of the Palestinian people, their struggle for national liberation, and endorsed the October 16, 2023 call issued by Palestinian trade unions (@workersinpalestine). UAW Local 551 represents automobile production workers, skilled trades, and custodial staff.
The UAW rank and file, across all industries, continues to support an immediate, permanent ceasefire to end the U.S.-backed Israeli genocide in Gaza and continues to call on other labor unions to do the same!
