Colonization is Violence (Union Nurses for Palestine)

Original online here.

Being a nurse is more than a profession it’s a calling to the art and craft of healing, compassion, activism and advocacy. We are the voice of the vulnerable calling and shouting from our positions of privilege. Our community is the global community. Nurses have continued to show up where we can raise our voices against colonial violence perpetuated by Zionism, Biden administration, IOF and US justice system and advocate for the health, sovereignty, dignity and basic human rights of oppressed peoples on turtle island, Palestine, Congo and Sudan. To ignore the continued violations of human rights, the destruction of the healthcare system, the rise of diseases like polio and dysentery in Gaza, or the immense suffering of the Palestinian ppl that has been pervasive for generations would be afront to our duties as HCW.
Whether we are speaking out on colonial sexual violence or the Polio epidemic UN4Pal will continue to advocate for recognition of human rights, solidarity with oppressed communities, sovereignty, decolonization, land back – Free Palestine! 🇵🇸 #freepalestine #congo #sudan #healthcareworkers #colonialism #endtheoccupation
