Dockworkers Do Not Work For Genocide (Global Alliance for Palestine et al)

NO HARBOUR FOR GENOCIDE. NO PORTS FOR WAR.

Tomorrow, 30 October, dockworkers across more than 100 ports in 17 countries will take coordinated action under one powerful message: “Dockworkers do not work for war.”

Through strikes and solidarity actions, workers are challenging the transport of weapons, the militarisation of ports and the shipping networks that enable Israel’s ongoing genocide against the Palestinian people.

Organisers estimate that the action could delay some 40,000 containers carrying goods worth more than US$2 billion.

The Global Alliance for Palestine (GAFP) stands in full solidarity with this international mobilisation.

Solidarity with Palestine demands meaningful action! Dockworkers from across the globe are demonstrating the collective power of organised labour to challenge the machinery of war.

For centuries, ports have been used to sustain empire and imperial rule. Tomorrow, workers will show that these same ports can become places of resistance.

The machinery of war depends on workers to keep it moving, and tomorrow, workers around the world will assert their power to refuse.

✊ No harbour for genocide. No ports for war.
