WE DID IT!!! Tonight, Providence became the first city to pass a binding divestment law by popular vote and will be the largest city in the US to divest from Israel. By a landslide vote, the people of this city chose to divest from genocide.
This historic victory is a testament: people across this country demand an end to US support for Israel’s genocide and apartheid, and Palestinian liberation is our compass.
This vote is also the outcome of a campaign that has spanned our city, mobilized countless volunteers, and united neighbors behind a shared vision of Palestinian liberation and working class power.
