Yesterday, we convened with labor organizers and Chris Smalls, founder of the Amazon Labor Union, to rally outside the AFL-CIO headquarters in DC, and delivered our list of demands. The PYM DMV echoes the call from the Palestinian General Federation of Trade Unions for all US workers to take immediate, material action in solidarity with Palestine.

It is the responsibility of US workers to recognize the struggle for Palestinian liberation as a labor issue. In every sector, from civil defense to journalism, healthcare to education, Palestinian workers in Gaza are on the frontlines of confronting the US-backed Israeli genocide. The AFL-CIO is the largest federation of unions in the US, representing over 15 million workers. The AFL-CIO chooses to remain complicit in genocide. As workers, we call on the leadership and the rank and file of the AFL-CIO to escalate pressure and prevent the construction and transportation of military cargo from the US to Israel.
