Art Now – a meetup about crises of arts funding and political repression in the “US”
Monday May 26 2-3:30p
Prospect Park, Brooklyn, NY
From NEA funding withdrawals to anti-BDS legislation and executive actions targeting DEI and trans inclusion, many of us are reconsidering how to create and fund meaningful art, unite against attacks on freedom of expression, oppose imperialism, and protect our communities in an increasingly fascist “United States.”
This meetup is a place for artists and arts workers (regardless of genre or role) to process and brainstorm together.
The meetup will include brief opening remarks from our partner orgs, a collective reading, and open conversation. There will be snacks.
