Hours after Israel’s double-tap strike on the Nasser Medical Complex in Khan Younis — which killed at least twenty Palestinians, including five journalists and two medical students — Building Bridges gathers those who refuse to be silenced. The program opens with Remi Kanazi’s “Poem for Gaza” and brings together Dr. Karama Hawash, a pediatric neurologist, and Dr. Nidal Jabour, an internist from Yatta in the West Bank — co-founders of Doctors Against Genocide — alongside veteran labor organizer Manadel Herzala, a founding member of Labor for Palestine and the U.S. Palestinian Community Network.

The doctors name what they are witnessing as “medicide” — the systematic annihilation of a people through the destruction of their health-care infrastructure — and call on the medical community to reclaim its highest duty: to protect life and refuse complicity. Herzala speaks to the deliberate targeting of Palestinian journalists, the workers whose cameras and bodies are “the occupation’s most valuable target bank,” and the failure of the Western press that disowned its own. Together, doctors and workers, they insist that journalists, medics, and patients are all workers — and that solidarity means connecting every sector, from teachers to physicians, in a global uprising for Palestinian life.
