We salute dock and port workers who are striking and demonstrating today across up to 100 ports in 17 counties, under the banner “dockworkers do not work for war!” The international day of action is expected to suspend traffic along a 1,100 nautical mile route in the Mediterranean, the same route at the center of our visual “Fueling Genocide.”
In the words of @portsinaction: “We condemn the genocide of the Palestinian people perpetrated by the State of Israel, with the support of the USA, NATO, the EU and the governments that collaborate with it. We also condemn the shameful blockade of Cuba and other forms of imperialist aggression. We are fighting against militarisation plans and the transformation of ports and strategic infrastructure into military staging grounds and transit corridors for war material.”
“Fueling Genocide” is available to download (link in bio) in Arabic, French, Japanese, Basque (Euskara), Italian, and Greek.
