📍LE HAVRE | FRENCH WORKERS REFUSE TO TRANSFER ISRAEL BOUND MILITARY CARGO
Today, French dockworkers rejected the arrival by truck of Israeli military cargo into their port and will refuse to load the cargo onto the ZIM America ship next week, in solidarity with Palestine. The People’s Embargo for Palestine revealed that a shipment of 18 tonnes of cannon barrels bound for Elbit Systems in Israel is set to be shipped out of the port of Le Havre on December 18. These barrel tubes are manufactured by Aubert & Duval based in Firminy, France and are used in the 155mm Howitzer’s, which the Israeli army has used to shoot munitions into Gaza for the past two years of colonial aggression.
As the cargo was set to arrive at the port of Le Havre today, dockworkers informed Aubert & Duval that the truck carrying the military cargo into their port will be refused.
While Israel continues its relentless assault on Gaza, it is the masses that continue to intervene in the supply chain of death and hold all actors complicit in enabling the genocide on Gaza accountable.
