Support for G4F spans regions and industries. Viviana, Member of AFSCME Local 126, Council 36 in Los Angeles, is a museum worker who has this to say about why she is in favor of our resolution:
“If we do not condemn the atrocities happening to the People of Palestine, we side we the oppressor. I refuse.
Palestinians and the land allow us to understand racism today and our role in these systems.
As workers in this country, specifically cultural workers and educators, it is our responsibility to add pressure, educate, and agitate each others’ consciousnesses.
We cannot be proud of our union’s association with anti-racist movements and leaders if we do not continue that fight today. Voting in support of this resolution is one step in that direction.”
