Turkey – Local Government Workers give a days wage to Lebanese People

The workers of the Bahçelievler town’s local government of Istanbul gave a day’s wage to solidarity with the people of Lebanon.
The announcement of this solidarity move from labor was revealed in the celebration of signing a contract between the union and the local government of Bahçelievler in Istanbul. The workers announced that one of the requirements of being an organized force was to be on the side of the oppressed.
One day’s wage that will be deducted from the workers will be sent to the region in Lebanon devastated by the Israelis.
One other benefit of the new contract gives the workers the same benefits some office clerks enjoyed before.
